Xun Eight Japanese Concept Restaurant
理念:
山不在高,有仙则名;
水不在深,有龙则灵;
室不在奢,有魂则宁;
日料——谦逊精致的传统美食,从容笃定,朴素纯粹;空间设计需要有所克制,既兼顾传统神韵,又适度创新。主角并非空间装饰,主厨手艺及菜品才是核心。力求空间如日料,耐得住回味,经得住时光。
Idea:
Mountain is famous for the living saints, instead of the height.
Water is miraculous because of the residing dragons, not the depth.
Room is peaceful if the spirit exits, regardless it is luxurious or shabby.
Japanese cuisine, modest and pure, exquisite and pure, conveys the deliberate and steadfast spirit. The idea of the space design is to create innovation while maintaining the traditional features. Although the key is not the spatial decoration but the chef and the dishes, the space is designed to be memorable with the aftertaste and long lasting in the time, like our Japanese cuisine.
主题:
设计以“白鱼”为题,源自寿司“一团白饭+一页鱼生”的经典组合,空间则“一斗素屋+一尾白鱼”,将美食的灵魂投射到空间中,至简,也耐人寻味。
Theme:
The theme is a white fish, which is inspired by the classic sushi combination of rice and sashimi. The restaurant is a humble room with a white fish living inside, reflecting the gourmet spirit into the space with simple but long lasting taste.
规划:
空间分两层,一楼经前院引入室内,主设明档和厨房;二楼以楼道为界,分设散座和包间,散座临一道横窗,可透自然光,可俯瞰流动街景。
Design:
The restaurant has two floors. The first floor consists of a forecourt, an indoor open cooking area and an indoor kitchen. The second floor has a dining area and private rooms, separated by the stairs. The dining area is next to a big window with natural light pouring in, which allows you to overlook the streetscape.
物料+灯光:
物材以青石原木、宣纸麻帘、藤椅陶碟搭配,朴素亲切,让客人落座为安。光为媒,从宣纸漫开,从麻帘泄下,从石阶溢出,从白墙洗下;白鱼凌空游弋,散出淡淡白光,是设计的主题,也是空间的灵魂,更是给予食客的小惊喜。
Material and Lighting:
With bluestone, log, rice paper, linen curtain, cane chair and ceramic plate combining together, it creates a simple and friendly environment, making guest feel comfortable. The light pours onto the stone stairs and the white walls through the rice paper and linen curtains, making the white fish swim vividly as real. This is the principal idea of the design, the soul of the space and a surprise for the guests.
